Most ceremonies last from 15-30 minutes, including the walk-in and walk-out, but of course, the exact length really depends on the degree to which you customize your ceremony, with elements such as sand ceremony, unity candle, special songs, readings, etc.
If you decide to rehearse on a separate day prior to the wedding, and would like Pastor Ed to attend, just let him know the day you make your reservation.
You will be asked to approve and sign a standard agreement/letter of understanding, which confirms the booking details and provides all pertinent information in writing. This is for the couple's ease of mind, knowing we're under agreement to arrive and perform as promised, & any prevents future misunderstandings. The day of the wedding, Pastor Ed arrives about 15-20 minutes prior to your ceremony and checks in with both the groom and DJ. If a walk through is required or requested, Pastor Ed will arrive 45 minutes prior to the ceremony, so please be ready.
It depends. Pastor Ed never assumes he’s invited to dinner afterwards. If invited by the couple, or requested by Pastor Ed, 2 meals are appreciated. If there is a cocktail hour, Pastor Ed will usually stay for a few moments to greet guests and family members.
Because the fees are so reasonable to retain Pastor Ed's service to you (as compared to meals, flowers, travel, and venue), payment is in advance. This guarantees your day on his calendar. All fees, paid by cash, PayPal or credit card are non-refundable.
If by PayPal, a link will be promptly emailed to you. If you are ready to reserve your date, click here to fill out this simple form. The normal and proper honorarium is $385 for a Wedding ceremony.
In California, both parties to the marriage (you and your fiancé(e)) must appear in person to apply to get a marriage license in California. Don't neglect this critical detail, as a ceremony cannot be performed without a valid marriage license in hand. Pastor Ed does not obtain or return your license for you. Pastor Ed immediately signs the license but does not mail/return it for you. Entrust that to the maid of honor or one of your parents.
Absolutely! Just let Pastor Ed know in advance who and how they will join in the ceremony. This is not uncommon.
Some couples who retain Pastor Ed's involvement (especially young military couples) have already legally married but want to enjoy a more formal ceremony with family and friends. If you’re in compliance with local marriage laws and can provide a copy of your legal marriage certificate for verification, we’re honored to officiate your ceremony..
There is something powerful about chemistry. During your initial conversation with Pastor Ed, if either party feels that it just wouldn't be a good fit, or there is not sufficient chemistry between all parties, we'll agree together it's simply not a good fit and another officiant might be able to serve you better.
Couples often spend thousands on their DJ, venue, flowers, meals, and decorations. It's normal and customary to provide an honorarium for the professional that will provide leadership to the moment. You don't want a novice leading you both through your vows!
The payment shows respect and honor for Pastor Ed's time and experience.
The Greater Sacramento Area (Rockin, Roseville, Lincoln, Granite Bay, Folsom, Auburn, Woodland, Citrus Heights, Fair Oaks, Sacramento, Carmichael, Rancho Cordova,, Marysville, Youba City, Olivehurst). Anything beyond these service areas such as El Dorado Hills, Dixon, Davis, Vacaville and Grass Valley would incur modest travel (mileage) fees.
